The content is a summary of public statutes and is provided to help you find the right question to ask a professional. You may link to a page or quote a short passage with attribution in a message to family or an advisor.

No warranty

The reference is provided on an as is and as available basis. We make no warranty that the shares are current, complete, or correct for any state on any date. Statutes change, and a summary can be out of date or contain an error. You rely on the content at your own risk, and the review year on each source line is not a promise of accuracy for the day you read it.

Limitation of liability

We are not liable for any loss that comes from using or trusting the tables. An error here could affect a real inheritance, which is exactly why the site tells you to verify every share against the current probate code or a probate attorney. If you need a binding answer, the statute and a licensed professional govern, not this page.

Not legal advice

Nothing on the site creates an attorney-client relationship. We do not represent you, and we do not take instructions about your estate. The tables are educational reference material about public law, the same kind of information you might find in a library book about probate.
